Milverton Watermill

A continuous watermill site from before AD1045. Experts & Volunteers are helping to repair these captivating historic buildings and preserve them from dereliction. Town Mills is of architectural and historic interest, listed grade II. 

• For Arts, Culture and Heritage, we are helping to preserve our early Somerset industrial past for future generations to appreciate. We intend to conserve and restore as many original historical features as possible on this important Somerset watermill site.
• As we progress, we propose to  involve the Community whenever possible. 
• For Education about waterwheels and the history of the site, we intend to open the mills to the public in a 'not for profit' way on Sundays, high days and holidays, when it is able to be safely visited. 

• Today the Mill is closed to the general public, while major works are proceeding on the main mill building's roof & structure, to make it safe, weather & waterproof. Replacing the missing historic water management features  required to conserve and restore to a working flour (Corn) and animal feed (Grist) mill.
